Design Challenge: Create a comprehensive system design for my institute's parking garage management system to address inefficient space usage, manual processes, and congestion issues.
My Role: System Designer responsible for creating UML diagrams, defining system architecture, and documenting the complete software design specification.
Designed four primary actors (Client, Admin System, Parking Sensor, License Plate Reader) with clearly defined responsibilities and interaction patterns.
Designed a modular architecture with clear separation of concerns, allowing independent development and testing of system components.
Designed comprehensive error handling for invalid registrations, payment failures, sensor malfunctions, and system exceptions.
Analyzed five software development methodologies (Waterfall, RAD, Spiral, V-Model, Agile) and selected Agile/Scrum as the optimal approach.
